Career Opportunities For an MCSE
Operating systems used in most of the computers and information technology systems in the world use Microsoft programs and products. Microsoft certifications are one of the most popular certifications in the information technology industry today. There is a great demand for Microsoft certified professionals in the job market today. Microsoft offers many certification levels depending upon user proficiency and the nature of the job. One of the most popular certificates is the MCSE certificate.
The acronym MCSE stands for Microsoft Certified System Engineer. An MCSE professional can become a system and network administrator, capable of working on Servers, Windows 2000 and 2003, Active Directory, MS Exchange 2000 and 2003, and SQL Server 2000. Other jobs include server management, for which it is mandatory to be an MCSE, with the ability to recognize, troubleshoot and repair complex systems, storage, networking and equipment related issues.
In order to obtain an MCSE certificate, one must pass a series of seven exams. There are four networking exams, all of which must be taken in order to pass and gain the MCSE qualification.
Various Roles of MCSE Certified professionals
Network Engineer: The main responsibilities related with role would be IT implementation & supporting the clients’ network and managed services lines of business. The professional qualifying for the job would be expected to manage the network of the organization in addition to strategizing the backup, firewall and security functions of the business infrastructure.
System Engineer: The main responsibility of system engineer is to ensure that he builds server solutions on the business infrastructure of the organization. The professional should be capable of planning, designing and implementing solutions for various operating systems.
Network analyst: Many new companies are trying to establish their network architecture and infrastructure. A network engineer must be able to study various network solutions and recommended their findings from the feasibility study conducted on the network solutions.
System Analyst: The main job responsibilities would include researching, planning and recommending software to the organization. Your recommendations must be in line with the business requirement of the software and the organization. High degree of expertise in doing gap analysis and feasibility study is desired to perform this job effectively.
As you go on developing your knowledge within the framework of your MCSE, jobs in the outside world will be continuously changing. MCSE jobs are comparatively easy to find out, but you may be prepared to move around to make the best of your MCSE. Jobs like these are vitally important to the industry, and you will need to know that you can give them your best.
